To make it as easy as possible, below you can find a summary of what you need to do to get your new kit going.
Awaken the components from shipping mode
You'll need to take the powerpack out of shipping mode with the charger. Just connect the charger and wait for a few seconds and you should see the battery light come on. For the pedal sensor you'll need a micro-USB cable (not provided) and connect the pedal sensor to any USB outlet or cellphone charger.
There is no need to charge either battery when receiving the kit. Both batteries (pedal sensor and Powerpack) come at half charge from our assembly line. This is the best way to keep them healthy while in storage.
IMPORTANT: Before charging the battery for the first time make sure you have updated the internal BMS firmware with our mobile APP to the latest version. Now is a great time to update all the firmwares so you make sure you have the latest and greatest.
After updating the system you can go ride it or fully charge it, whatever you prefer.
App and upgrade
In the EU, all kits are sent fully up to date, tested and paired. All you need to do is install them and ride.
All US customers need to upgrade the Powerpacks as they were purposely programmed to not provide power until upgraded as a way for us to make sure you were on the latest firmware that was being developed during transit from Spain. We already upgraded all pedal sensors in the US so you won't have to do that this time.
To upgrade the BMS and Core inside the Powerpack, place the pedal sensor on a flat surface with the logo-side down (foam-side up) so that it is off during these upgrades.
The only way to upgrade the firmware in all components is from the mobile App. It's called RideUnlimited, works with iOS or Android and you can download it from the Apple or Google app stores.

Once paired and connected to the Powerpack, you'll be able to see the "Upgrade" button at the bottom right corner. From there, you'll be able to upgrade the BMS and Core firmwares.

Pedal sensors are upgraded from the "burger menu" at the top right corner, no need to be connected to the bike or have the powerpack on.
Current firmwares (as of June 4 2021) are BMS v10, Core v16 and Pedal Sensor v4. After any BMS upgrade, you need to re-pair the phone to the Powerpack (remember to delete the old pairing from the phone's Bluetooth settings).

Installation
Easiest way is to check out our Youtube channel, there are a detailed videos showing the installation. The most important ones include:
- Install the front motor following this video. (Here for rear motor but please watch both for more details)
- Install the Powerpack following this video.
- Pair the pedal sensor to the Powerpack as shown in this video and you should be good to go!
Important Note: make sure that when installing disc brakes, the bolts used to install the disc must be M5 with a maximum of 8mm long. Longer than this will make internal contact with the motor causing binding and damage! Check out this article for more detailed information.
Finish cable routing
Route the cable from the motor to the powerpack carefully. The kit is provided with two adhesive "clip mounts" that can help you attach the cable to the bike in convenient locations if your bike doesn't already have mounts like this that you can use. Make sure that the cable doesn't rub with the motor, wheel or tire at any place along its path. It's specially important that the cable does not rub with the disc brake bolt heads right at the wire exit and transitioning to the fork.
